Thomas E. West is a respected community leader, business owner, social worker, and public servant. He served three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives for the 49th District, including as Assistant Minority Leader, and represented Canton’s Ward 2 on City Council for 13 years. With more than 25 years of experience in social work and community development, West has dedicated his career to advocacy, economic empowerment, and public service. He is the owner of Fame Solutions LLC and the former President & CEO of the Greater Stark County Urban League. West attended the University of Mount Union, studying Business Administration, and earned both his Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Akron. He remains committed to strengthening communities throughout Northeast Ohio.
